Sapiens Visual Development - Morning in the Laboratory Color Key

The final piece of concept painting I did for my senior film, Sapiens. This scene was actually cut halfway through making this piece but I decided to finish it out.

Sometimes if I have a strong mental image of what I want the final piece to look like, the sketch just gets in my way--this was definitely the case for this piece.
